Mark Allan Contracting

General contracting

We run the whole build

Your commercial general contractor from the first walk to the certificate of occupancy. Family-owned since 1999, self-performing the interior trades, across Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina.

Why us

What you get with a GC like us

One team accountable

The people who price your job stay on it through the build — you’re not handed off to a crew you never met.

Self-performed trades

Framing, drywall, paint, ceilings, and flooring with our own crews — fewer separate subs to coordinate.

A real number

A scoped estimate you can hand to your owner or lender — not a range that turns into change orders.

Owner’s-side perspective

We’ve developed and operated our own commercial property, so we scope for what an owner actually worries about.

How the work gets done

What we self-perform, and what we manage

Running the interior trades in-house means fewer subs to chase and one party accountable for the finish. Licensed specialty trades are scheduled and supervised the same way.

We self-perform

  • Metal stud framing
  • Drywall & finish
  • Acoustical ceilings (ACT)
  • Interior & exterior paint
  • Commercial flooring
  • Doors, frames & hardware

We manage & supervise

  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC / mechanical
  • Fire protection
  • Specialty equipment
  • Low-voltage & data
How it works

Same three steps on every job — what changes is the scope, not the process.

1

Walk the space

We come out and look at what’s actually there — existing conditions, the capacity of the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, and what your use will trigger for code and accessibility. Bring whatever you have: drawings, the lease exhibit, your target date. It takes about an hour, and we get on the calendar within days.

2

Get a real number

We scope it trade by trade — not a per-foot guess — and account for permitting and the long-lead items that actually move a schedule. You get a scoped estimate with the inclusions and exclusions spelled out, so you can hand it to your owner or lender and defend it. Not a range, and usually back in days.

3

We build

We pull the permits, order the long-lead items, and mobilize — self-performing the interior trades and managing the rest, in sequence. You get a point of contact and updates at the milestones that matter, through punch and closeout, including the documents you need to occupy.
