Now that the paperwork is done, here’s what’s next:
Our team jumps into action to handle the essentials. We’ll double-check that all necessary permits and approvals are lined up (or kick off the process if they’re not).
Your Project Manager Steps In: Within a few business days, your dedicated Project Manager (PM) will reach out to say hello and get the ball rolling. They’ll set up a Kickoff Call or Site Visit—whichever works best for you—to go over the game plan, answer your questions, and see the space with fresh eyes. This is your chance to share any last-minute thoughts or details!
We’ll put together a detailed project timeline tailored to your job. It’ll outline key milestones—like when demolition starts, when major installations happen, and when we’re aiming to wrap up. We’ll share this through BuilderTrend, our handy client portal. One heads-up: construction is a living process, so timelines can shift a bit due to weather, material availability, or surprises we uncover along the way. We’ll keep you posted every step of the journey!
You’ll have a dedicated Project Manager (PM) overseeing everything. Your PM is your go-to person for updates, scheduling, and questions.
How to Reach Them: Most communication will flow through BuilderTrend, our client portal, where you can message your PM anytime (If you do use their cell phone, we do ask you to respect their evenings and weekends unless it is an emergency).
While your PM is your main contact, our whole crew is here to support you. For quick questions outside the project scope—like billing inquiries or general info—you can always reach our office at 404-724-8709 or drop us a line at hello@macont.com.
We know you’re excited to see your project take shape (we are too!), and we’re committed to keeping you in the loop every step of the way. No guesswork here—here’s how we’ll keep you posted:
BuilderTrend is Your Window: We use BuilderTrend, our online client portal, as your front-row seat to the action. Think of it as your project’s personal dashboard. We’ll upload progress photos regularly—whether it’s the foundation being poured, walls going up, or that custom tile you picked getting laid—so you can see the transformation in real time.
You’ll also find schedule updates there, showing what’s happening now and what’s coming next, plus key documents like plans or permits. It’s all in one spot!
We’re all about transparency here - We’re happy to share the journey with you!
Before our crew arrives, you’ll want to clear the work areas of anything that might get in the way. This means moving furniture, decor, or personal items out of the zones we’ll be working.
Construction zones can be noisy, messy and a bit chaotic. We’ll do our best to keep disruptions low, but a little planning here goes a long way for everyone’s peace of mind.
Site Access & Special Requests: Let your Project Manager know how we should get in—do we use a side gate, ring the bell, or grab a key from somewhere? If you’ve got specific instructions (like “avoid the flowerbed” or “park on the left”), share those early so we’re on the same page.
Short answer: Yep, it’s part of the deal! Construction is a hands-on, noisy, dusty adventure, but we’re pros at keeping it under control as much as possible. Here’s what you can expect and how we’ll work together to make it manageable:
The Noise Factor Depending on your project, there will be some racket, especially during demolition, framing, or heavy installation days. It’s loudest when we’re breaking things down or building them up.
Dust Everywhere? Yep, dust is construction’s glitter—it gets around! Whether we’re cutting drywall, sanding, or tearing out old stuff, some particles are inevitable. We fight the good fight with tarps, plastic sheeting, and cleanups to contain it, but it might still sneak into nearby areas. If your project’s indoors, consider covering furniture or electronics in adjacent rooms, and we’ll do our part to seal off work zones.
What We’re Doing About It: Our crew isn’t here to leave chaos in our wake. We use drop cloths, set up barriers, and keep the site as tidy as we can. It won’t be spotless mid-build, but we’ll keep it livable—or at least tolerable!
We’re all about keeping your project on track, but construction can throw curveballs— it happens. While we plan meticulously, some things are out of our hands. Here’s a look at the most common culprits that might nudge your timeline, plus how we’ll handle them:
Weather Woes: Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate! For example, if we’re laying a foundation and a storm rolls in, we’ll need to wait for dry ground. We keep an eye on forecasts and shuffle indoor tasks when we can to keep moving, but some delays are weather’s call.
Surprise Site Issues: Sometimes we uncover hidden challenges once we dig in—think termite damage behind a wall, a cracked foundation we couldn’t see, or outdated wiring that needs a full redo. These “uh-oh” moments might mean extra time to fix things right (and safely). We’ll assess it fast, loop you in with options, and adjust the plan so there’s no cutting corners.
Material Holdups: Custom or specialty items—like that imported tile you love or a unique fixture—can take longer to arrive than standard stuff. Supply chain hiccups (think shipping delays or a manufacturer backlog) can also slow us down. If we spot a potential snag early, we’ll flag it and suggest alternatives if you’d rather not wait. Once it’s ordered, we’ll update you on ETA.
We can’t predict everything, but we can promise to keep you informed and keep the project rolling toward the finish line. Got a tight deadline or a worry about timing? Chat with your PM—we’ll do all we can to make it work!
We want paying for your project to be as painless as possible—no surprises, just a smooth system to keep things rolling. Here’s how we handle the money side of things:
Our Tool: Bill.com: We use Bill.com for all invoicing and payments—it’s secure, simple, and keeps everything organized. After your contract’s signed, we’ll set you up with access (don’t worry, it’s easy to use—we’ll walk you through it if needed). You’ll get invoices emailed straight to you, and you can pay online with a few clicks!
Payment Schedule: Your contract lays out the payment plan, tailored to your project’s size and scope. Typically, it’s broken into stages—like a deposit upfront, progress payments as we hit milestones (say, after framing or drywall), and a final payment when we’re done. We’ll send each invoice based on that schedule, so you know exactly when to expect it.
How to Pay: With Bill.com, you’ve got options—pay by credit card (but there is a 3% fee), bank transfer (ACH), or even a check if that’s your preference (though online’s fastest). It’s all processed securely, and you’ll get a confirmation once it’s through.
Questions or Issues?: If something’s unclear—like “Why’s this invoice for $X?” or “Can I adjust the timing?”—reach out to our billing guru, Nick, at hello@macnot.com. They’re your go-to for anything money-related and can sort it out fast. Your Project Manager can also step in if it’s tied to project details.
Hey, inspiration can strike anytime, and we’re all about keeping your project true to your vision! Whether you spot a new idea mid-build or something unexpected pops up, we’ve got a process to handle changes smoothly. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Tell Us What’s Up: If you’re thinking, “I’d love a bigger window here” or “Can we add a built-in shelf?”—just say the word! Shoot an email to your Project Manager with the details. Be as specific as you can—like “swap the white tile for blue” or “extend the deck by 5 feet”— Phone calls are great for brainstorming, but we’ll need it in writing to keep everything official.
Step 2: We Crunch the Numbers: Once we get your request, we’ll review it with the team. We’ll look at what’s needed—extra materials, more labor, maybe a permit tweak—and figure out how it fits into the schedule. For example, adding a skylight might mean ordering glass and adjusting the roof timeline. We’ll put together a formal Change Order that spells out the new cost, any timeline shifts, and what’s changing.
Step 3: You Give the Green Light: We’ll send you the Change Order (via email or PandaDoc) for a look. If you’re good with the price and timing, just sign off in writing (a quick reply like “Approved!” works). Nothing moves forward until you say yes, so you’re in control.
Why the Paper Trail?: Keeping it in writing protects us both—no confusion about what’s agreed on or what it’ll cost.We love when you bring ideas to the table—it’s your project, after all! If you’re mulling over a change, big or small, chat with your PM early. We’ll make it work and keep you posted every step of the way.
The finish line is in sight, and we’re as pumped as you are to see it all come together! Before we pop the champagne (or at least hand over the keys), we’ve got a few final steps to make sure everything’s perfect. Here’s what happens when your project’s done:
The Final Walkthrough: We’ll invite you for a grand tour of the finished space—your chance to see every detail up close! This is the time to soak it in and flag anything that needs a final touch.
Punch List Time: No project’s complete without a little polish. During the walkthrough, we’ll create a “punch list”—a short to-do list of any last-minute fixes or adjustments.
Your Feedback Matters: We’d love to hear what you think! After the dust settles (literally), we’ll ask for a quick review—your honest take on the process, the result, and our team. It helps us keep getting better, and helps other clients find us.
If you’d like to leave a review, google is the best for us, you can leave one here: https://g.page/r/CYWZkpRl0M1dEB0/review
